Expanded Mesh Garage Screen

The project’s expanded mesh envelope allows for natural ventilation and protection from the elements. AMICO helped engineer the solution to include 3/16″ thick material to provide for added rigidity and wider support spans. Extensive research led to innovative sustainable features, including a green roof, low-maintenance landscaping, photovoltaic panels, and an automated management system for motorists. The structure is brilliantly designed to be easily modified for other uses after serving as a parking deck, and the aluminum expanded mesh can be easily recycled and returned into the aluminum manufacturing stream.
